Mini Marketa Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply when you browse or buy from Mini Marketa ("we", "us", "our") at minimarketa.com. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Mini Marketa
Mini Marketa is a small Australian online shop for pre-loved children's toys, books and games. Mini Marketa is run by Andrea Alembakis (ABN 77 420 693 758) in Sydney, NSW.
Every toy in our shop comes from Play It Forward, our community toy drive. Families donate the toys their kids have outgrown, and we clean, check and list each one ourselves. 100% of profits from Play It Forward toys go to the Trilogy Foundation Canterbury Bankstown.
We sell and deliver within Australia only.
2. Pre-loved items
2.1 Condition
Everything we sell is pre-loved. We clean and check each item by hand and describe its condition honestly, including any wear, marks or missing parts we find. Photos show the actual item you will receive.
Some light signs of use are normal for second-hand toys. Please read each listing and look at the photos carefully before you buy.
2.2 Battery-operated toys
We test battery-operated toys before listing them. Unless the listing says otherwise, batteries are included.
If a listing says an item is not working or sold as-is, it is sold with that fault and we can't offer a refund for that disclosed fault.
2.3 Safety
We check items against Australian product recalls and won't knowingly sell anything recalled or unsafe. Please follow the age guidance on each listing, supervise young children during play, and check toys for small parts before giving them to children under 3.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars. Payment is taken securely at checkout through Shopify Payments or PayPal. We don't accept cash or direct payments for online orders.
Discount codes can't be exchanged for cash, and only one code can be used per order unless we say otherwise.
4. Shipping
4.1 Postage
We post orders Australia-wide with Australia Post, with tracking. Postage is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your parcel. When a free shipping offer is running, the minimum spend is shown on our website and applied automatically at checkout.
4.2 Dispatch
We aim to dispatch orders within 3 business days. We'll email you the tracking number once your parcel is posted.
4.3 Lost or delayed parcels
If your parcel hasn't arrived within a reasonable time, please get in touch and we'll follow it up with Australia Post for you.
5. Pickup-only items
A small number of very large items (marked Local pickup only in the listing) can't be posted and must be collected from Randwick, NSW. We'll contact you after your order to arrange a time.
Please collect your item within 7 days of ordering unless we agree otherwise. If we can't reach you to arrange pickup within 14 days, we may cancel the order and refund you.
6. Returns and refunds
6.1 Problems with your order
If your item arrives damaged, has a fault we didn't disclose, or is significantly different from the listing, please email us at hello@minimarketa.com as soon as possible (ideally within 7 days of delivery) with photos. We'll work out a fair solution, such as a refund, replacement or return.
6.2 Change of mind
Because each item is a one-off pre-loved piece, we don't offer refunds for change of mind.
6.3 Your rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For second-hand goods, acceptable quality takes into account the item's age, condition and price, and any faults we told you about before you bought.
7. Donating to Play It Forward
When you donate toys to Play It Forward, you give them to us with no expectation of payment. We decide which items are suitable to sell. Items we can't sell are passed on to other charities or recycled where possible.
Any Play It Forward voucher we give to donors is subject to the terms shown on the voucher, can't be exchanged for cash and can only be used once.
8. Our liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Privacy
We only collect the information we need to process and deliver your order and to keep in touch if you've signed up to our emails. See our Privacy Policy for details.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order applies to that order.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
